\"VarietyLogo1\"<\/a>Don Johnson, Jennifer Carpenter, Michael Jai White and Tattiawna Jones have joined the Mel Gibson-Vince Vaughn crime thriller \u201cDragged Across Concrete,\u201d Variety has learned exclusively.<\/p>\n

Tory Kittles and Laurie Holden will also star in the film, currently being shot in Vancouver by S. Craig Zahler from his own script.<\/p>\n

\u201cDragged Across Concrete\u201d is produced by Unified Pictures\u2019 Keith Kjarval, Cinestate\u2019s Dallas Sonnier, Look to the Sky\u2019s Sefton Fincham and Assemble Media\u2019s Jack Heller. It is executive produced by the Fyzz Facility\u2019s Wayne Godfrey and Robert Jones along with Fantasy 6 and Victory Square Labs\u2019 Shafin Diamond.<\/p>\n

Gibson portrays an old guard policeman while Vaughn plays his volatile younger partner. The duos find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arming tactics become the media\u2019s special du jour. Low on cash and with no other options, these two embittered soldiers descend into the criminal underworld to gain their just due, but instead find far more than they wanted awaiting them in the shadows<\/p>\n

Lionsgate acquired U.S. distribution rights to \u201cDragged Across Concrete\u201d at the start of the Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Sonnier and Heller previously served as producers on \u201cBone Tomahawk\u201d and \u201cBrawl in Cell Block 99,\u201d starring Vaughn, which Zahler also wrote and directed. Kjarval has produced films including \u201cA Single Shot,\u201d \u201cRudderless,\u201d \u201cVincent N Roxxy,\u201d and \u201cThe Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson starred in \u201cDjango Unchained\u201d and \u201cBrawl in Cell Block 99,\u201d along with Carpenter who is known for \u201cDexter.\u201d White starred in \u201cThe Dark Knight\u201d and \u201cJones\u201d stars in \u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson is represented by CAA. Carpenter is represented by WME and Untitled Entertainment. White is represented by Gersh and Zero Gravity Management. Jones is represented by APA and Carrier Talent Management.<\/p>\n
