Yellow Veil Pictures<\/a>\u00a0has boarded North American distribution of the sleep clinic horror film \u201cSomnium<\/a>,\u201d setting a theatrical release for later this year. The banner will also launch international sales of the feature at the Marche du Film amid the Cannes Film Festival market. The annual international gathering kicks off Tuesday.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be partnering with Yellow Veil, whose distinct curatorial eye and art-forward approach to distribution aligns perfectly with the spirit of \u2018Somnium,\u2019 writer-director Racheal Cain said in a statement alongside the deal\u2019s announcement. \u201cTheir focus on cinema that pushes boundaries and lingers in the imagination, and their deep care for each film\u2019s identity \u2014 from packaging to release strategy \u2014 makes them a dream home for this project.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWith each viewing of \u2018Somnium\u2019 we discover a new theme, that\u2019s only topped by the performances of her cast \u2014 and the visual risk she takes to build this world,\u201d added a Yellow Veil Pictures rep. \u201cVery excited to bring Racheal\u2019s vision to the audience, and work with her on such an accomplished debut.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSomnium\u201d debuted at the Chattanooga Film Festival and Brooklyn Horror Film Festivals last fall, marking the feature directorial debut for Cain.
