The\u00a0\u201cBridesmaids\u201d alum<\/a>\u00a0reunites with her former \u201cPitch Perfect\u201d co-star Anna Camp \u2014 who plays the bride of the title \u2014 for the feature directed by \u201cCon Air\u201d helmer Simon West. Wilson plays a secret agent whose work gets in the way of her personal life during the weekend she\u2019s the maid of honor at a destination wedding. Anna Chlumsky, Da\u2019Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley also star.<\/p>\n

The official synopsis reads: \u201cFor badass secret agent Sam (Rebel Wilson), blending in has never been part of the mission \u2014 until she\u2019s maid of honor at her best friend\u2019s extravagant destination wedding. Out of her element and surrounded by high-maintenance bridesmaids and a strict \u2018no weapons\u2019 policy, Sam is determined to prove she can be there for her friend \u2014 even if emotional support isn\u2019t exactly her specialty. But when a team of mercenaries crashes the party and takes the guests hostage, Sam is thrown into a fight unlike any mission before \u2014 one where she can\u2019t risk blowing her cover or ruining the big day. As she takes on the bad guys in a high-stakes battle disguised as a fairy-tale affair, she realizes the real threat might be closer than she thinks. Now, it\u2019s bridezilla vs. bazookas as Sam dodges bullets, brawls in heels, and tries to survive both the armed assailants and the wedding planner\u2019s wrath. West directs from a script by Shaina Steinberg; CeCe Pleasants and Steinberg are credited with the story. \u201cBride Hard\u201d is produced by Balcony 9\u2019s Joel David Moore, Colleen Camp, Cassian Elwes, Max Osswald, and Jason Ross Jallet.\u00a0The\u00a0film<\/a>\u00a0was also produced in association with WME Independent, Copper Island Films, and Latigo Films.<\/div>\n

Wilson recently made her\u00a0directorial debut<\/a>\u00a0with musical \u201cThe Deb,\u201d which debuted at TIFF 2024. The film spurred a\u00a0defamation lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0between Wilson and producers Amanda Ghost and Gregor Cameron and executive producer Vince Holden, whom Wilson alleged\u00a0embezzled funds from the indie feature<\/a>\u00a0and harassed the lead actress. Ghost, Cameron, and Holden later filed an amended joint legal defamation complaint against Wilson.<\/p>\n
