The Fab Five saw a bit of a shakeup for\u00a0\u201cQueer Eye\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Season 9.<\/p>\n

After eight seasons of impeccable interior design makeovers, Bobby Berk announced he would not return to the Netflix show in November 2023.<\/p>\n

While many of his fans and castmates shared their love for Berk, some fans speculated he had been pushed out by fellow castmember, fashion expert Tan France,\u00a0who denied that in no uncertain terms<\/a> and also said Berk had been \u201cfired.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a subsequent\u00a0interview with Vanity Fair<\/a>, Berk said that he left because their contract ended with Season 8 and he had already started looking ahead to other projects. He also said he was surprised that his co-stars changed their minds, saying \u201cI can\u2019t be mad \u2014 for a second I was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Berk also confirmed that he and France had indeed had a falling out, but he stressed it had nothing to do with the show, that it was a personal matter and \u201cnothing romantic, just to clarify that.\u201d He also said he and France have begun to repair their friendship and he expects that to continue.<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, for Season 9, Jeremiah Brent \u2014 who happens to be a friend of France\u2019s \u2014 has replaced Berk as the design head.<\/p>\n

Jeremiah Brent<\/h2>\n

The interior designer founded his own firm, Jeremiah Brent Design, which launched with locations in New York City and Los Angeles in 2012. Since then Brent has also launched his own lifestyle brand Atrio. Brent is married to fellow interior designer Nate Berkus, with whom he shares two young children. The couple has appeared on the HGTV docuseries \u201cThe Nate & Jeremiah Home Project\u201d and Brent has previously appeared in Netflix\u2019s \u201cSay I Do,\u201d the Emmy-winning Home Made Simple and \u201cThe Rachel Zoe Project.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Karamo Brown<\/h2>\n

Brown serves as the \u201cculture expert\u201d on \u201cQueer Eye.\u201d The television personality and social worker helps share the humanity of the subjects of each episode. Brown also hosts his own daytime talk show \u201cKaramo\u201d for NBC Universal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tan France<\/h2>\n

France serves as the fashion expert on the series. The fashionista has gone on to host several shows of his own, including \u201cHome at Last with Tan France\u201d for Architestural Digest, Netflix\u2019s \u201cNext in Fashion\u201d and \u201cDressing Funny.\u201d Most recently, he hosted \u201cSay Yes to the Dress with Tan France\u201d a spinoff of the TLC series for the British network Really.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Antoni Porowski<\/h2>\n

Porowski helps mine the taste of the \u201cQueer Eye\u201d subjects as the show\u2019s food and wine expert. The Fab Five member has since hosted \u201cEasy-Bake Battle: The Home Cooking Competition\u201d for Netflix and has a new show on the way, \u201cNo Taste Like Home with Antoni Porowski,\u201d for which he is set to host and executive produce.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Van Ness<\/h2>\n

Van Ness serves as the show\u2019s grooming stylist, managing the subjects\u2019 hair, makeup and styling. Since the show aired, J.V.N has expanded their breadth in the entertainment industry. The television personality hosts their podcast \u201cGetting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness\u201d and recently announced that their first stand-up special will premiere in January 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
