Berlin: Grace Glowicki\u2019s \u2018Booger\u2019 Body Horror Pic Lands at Dark Sky Films: <\/h1>\n

Dark Sky Films has acquired the U.S. rights to Booger, Mary Dauterman\u2019s debut feature starring Grace Glowicki.<\/p>\n

The distribution deal comes as Visit Films introduces the body horror pic to international buyers in Berlin. Glowicki plays Anna, a New Yorker faced with the sudden and unexpected death of her best friend and roommate, Izzy, played by Sofia Dobrushin.<\/p>\n

As Anna grieves, Izzy\u2019s cat, Booger, runs away, leading to a desperate search, only to be bitten on the hand by the cat. Anna soon takes on feline characteristics and her work life and relationship with her boyfriend go downhill.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to see filmmakers like Mary Dauterman pushing the boundaries of horror and delivering something truly memorable. We\u2019re thrilled to be bringing this film to audiences worldwide,\u201d Dark Sky Films\u2019 Giles Edwards said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The ensemble cast includes Garrick Bernard, Marcia DeBonis, David Rysdahl and indie icon Heather Matarazzo. Booger is executive produced by Ley Line Entertainment, which was behind the Oscar winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Neon Heart Productions (Shiva Baby).<\/p>\n

Short-film director Dauterman\u2019s first feature world premiered at Montreal\u2019s Fantasia Film Festival. \u201cI\u2019m so excited to be partnering with horror kings Dark Sky Films. I feel like they truly understand this disgusting genre mashup of a comedy, and I can\u2019t wait to bring Booger to the world together.\u201d Dauterman said in her own statement.<\/p>\n

Booger is produced by Lexi Tannenholtz and executive produced by Neon Heart Productions, Ley Line Entertainment, Sanctuary Content, One Two Twenty Entertainment and Lizzie Shapiro.<\/p>\n

The distribution agreement was negotiated by Giles Edwards, MPI Media Group\u2019s Head of Acquisitions and Development, Europe, and Visit Films President Ryan Kampe.<\/p>\n
