\u201cMr. and Mrs. Smith,\u201d Amazon Prime Video\u2019s TV remake of the film of the same name, had a strong opening weekend. Starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, the series debuted in fourth place on Nielsen\u2019s streaming rankings with 964 million minutes watched in its first three days of availability.<\/p>\n
It ranked only behind \u201cGriselda,\u201d the Sofia Vergara-led Netflix miniseries that hit 1.7 billion minutes watched between Jan. 29 and Feb. 4, its first full week of availability, as well as \u201cYoung Sheldon\u201d and \u201cBluey,\u201d frequent chart-toppers that were watched for 1.3 billion and 1.4 billion minutes, respectively.<\/p>\n
\u201cGriselda\u201d and \u201cMr. and Mrs. Smith\u201d were the only streaming originals to make the Top 10 during this viewing window. No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7 all went to chart regulars: \u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy\u201d with 958 million minutes watched, \u201cThe Big Bang Theory\u201d with 750 million minutes watched and \u201cNCIS\u201d with 689 million minutes watched. The ninth-most-streamed title of the week was \u201cThis Is Us,\u201d which recently began a run on the Top 10 after being added to Netflix.<\/p>\n
The bottom title on the chart was \u201cTrue Detective,\u201d which released the third episode of Season 4 on Jan. 28, just before the viewing window began, and the fourth episode on Feb. 4, just before it ended. The series was watched for 648 million minutes during this window \u2014 but this statistic refers only to viewership on Max, while the show also airs on HBO\u2019s linear channel, where the network tends to get roughly one-third of its viewership.<\/p>\n
