BMF is coming back for a third season.<\/p>\n
Starz has renewed the drama series after the second season premiere on January 6.<\/p>\n
The network said that the second season debut recorded 4.1M multi-platform viewers. The audience was also up significantly from the Season 1 finale, which drew about 2.85M live+same-day multiplatform viewers. <\/p>\n
BMF is inspired by two brothers Demetrius \u201cBig Meech\u201d Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) and Terry \u201cSouthwest T\u201d Flenory (Da\u2019Vinchi), who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late \u201980s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country, Black Mafia Family.<\/p>\n
In season two, BMF continues to explore the brothers\u2019 complex familial relationships with their parents Charles Flenory (Russell Hornsby) and Lucille Flenory (Michole Briana White) who seek counsel from their spiritual advisor Pastor Swift (Snoop Dogg).<\/p>\n
The season starts with Meech and Terry at odds. Meech wants to expand the business beyond Detroit, while Terry is focused on school and launching a legitimate car-ride service with his Pops. But as the season unfolds, the streets implode and the brothers must weigh their options.<\/p>\n
Along the way, they form an alliance with Goldie (Mo\u2019Nique), a sophisticated Atlanta strip club owner, who helps Meech lay the groundwork for his future. Expanding beyond Detroit to Lansing, Ohio and even the South, the brothers face nearly insurmountable obstacles, are confronted with a shocking discovery about a member of their own crew, and battle for every inch of territory.<\/p>\n
BMF is produced through Jackson\u2019s G-Unit Film and Television in association with Lionsgate Television. Exec producers include Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson, showrunner Randy Huggins, Heather Zuhlke, Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements.<\/p>\n
