The film follows a young man (Boneta) who falls for the daughter (Daddario) of his father\u2019s nemesis in New York City. At one point, Kaya Scodelario and Josh Hutcherson were slated to play the roles.<\/p>\n<p>Daddario and Boneta join a cast that includes Olivia Munn. \u201cDie in a Gunfight\u201d was written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, who previously collaborated on \u201cAnt-Man and the Wasp.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Culmination\u2019s Tom Butterfield, Mark Gordon, Adrian Politowski and Martin Metz will produce the picture. Politowski\u2019s newly launched Align outfit will be financing the production. CAA Media Finance and Endeavor Content are co-representing U.S. rights, with Culmination\u2019s Harry White handling foreign sales. Principal photography will start in October.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the time for a film like \u2018Die in a Gunfight,\u2019\u201d said Culmination\u2019s Butterfield in a statement. \u201cIt is a classic love story wrapped in an electric, modern action\/thriller setting. With this terrific creative group, we are excited to make the \u2018True Romance\u2019 of this generation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daddario is best-known for her work in \u201cTrue Detective.\u201d Upcoming projects include \u201cNight Hunter,\u201d opposite Henry Cavill and Ben Kingsley, and \u201cCan You Keep a Secret?,\u201d an adaptation of the bestselling book by Sophie Kinsella.<\/p>\n<p>Boneta starred in \u201cRock of Ages\u201d and in the biographical series \u201cLuis Miguel,\u201d which he also executive produced. He will next be seen in \u201cTerminator: Dark Fate\u201d alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, and just wrapped production on Paul W.S.
