In director Bart Freundlich\u2019s film inspired by the 2006 Danish pic by Susanne Bier, Isabel (Williams) has dedicated her life to working with the children in an orphanage in Calcutta. Theresa (Moore) is the multimillionaire head of a media company who lives with her artist husband (Crudup) and their twin boys in New York. When word comes to Isabel of a mysterious and generous grant for the financially struggling orphanage, she must travel to New York to meet the benefactor \u2014 Theresa \u2014 in person.<\/p>\n

\u201cWas it strange to see Oscar again?\u201d the potential $20 million benefactor tells her guest over drinks. \u201cHe\u2019s a good-looking man now, but back then he must have really been something.\u201d<\/p>\n
Later there\u2019s this: \u201cI don\u2019t trust your wife,\u201d Isabel says to Oscar. \u201cShe\u2019s gonna give you money for your charity, and you\u2019re gonna question her integrity?\u201d he replies. Isabel has one question: \u201cWhat does she want?\u201d<\/p>\n
Which begs some other questions: What\u2019s the big secret? Are there ulterior motives on either side, or both? And won\u2019t somebody think of the children?<\/p>\n
