‘Voir’ Trailer, Premiere Date: First Look At David Fincher’s Docuseries Celebrating Cinema:

Netflix on Thursday unveiled the first trailer for Voir, a new docuseries from Oscar-nominated filmmaker David Fincher and David Prior, also announcing that it will premiere December 6.

Voir is a series of visual essays celebrating cinema and the personal connection we each have to the stories we see on the big screen. From intimate personal histories to insights on character and craft, each episode reminds us why cinema holds a special place in our lives.

The six-episode Campfire Studios Production features appearances by film critics Walter Chaw and Drew McWeeny, writer and animator Taylor Ramos, blogger Sasha Stone and editor and writer Tony Zhou. Fincher and Prior exec produced with Ceán Chaffin, Joshua Donen, Neil Kellerhouse, Ross M. Dinerstein and Ross Girard.

Netflix first made the announcement surrounding the project last month. The series comes on the heels of Fincher’s Netflix film Mank, starring Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfried, which won Oscars for Best Achievement in Production Design and Best Achievement in Cinematography following its debut on the streamer in December 2020, also notching noms for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, Best Sound, Best Original Score, Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Achievement in Costume Design.
