Entertainment Attorney Elsa Ramo Among Variety’s New Leaders:

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Elsa Ramo, founding partner of Ramo Law PC, has been named among Variety’s New Leaders of Hollywood for law and finance.

“Our team takes a full soup-to-nuts approach,” Ramo told Variety, according to the special issue out this week. “Diving deep with our clients on every contract is integral. We sweat the small stuff so they can focus on making and monetizing great content.”

Ramo’s firm provides comprehensive legal services to producers, financiers, and owners and creators of film, television and digital content.

Just this year, Ramo represented several indie films featured at the Toronto Film Festival and Sundance, including “Call Me By Your Name,” “Fun Mom Dinner,” and “Band-Aid.” Television and film credits include the upcoming Mel Gibson thriller “Dragged Across Concrete,” the Emmy nominated Netflix docuseries “Chef’s Table,” and the Sony Classics drama, “Call Me By Your Name.”

She also has worked with major clients on films like “What They Had,” starring Michael Shannon and Hillary Swank. The firm is also handling several Netflix original movies on behalf of producers and several films including the recent theatrical releases of Morgan Creek’s “All Eyez on Me” and Paramount’s “Same Kind of Different As Me.”

In 2010, Ramo’s pro bono work providing artists and art organizations with legal services earned her an Artistic License Award by the California Lawyers of Arts. Her expertise has been featured in numerous outlets including: Variety’s 2014 Women Impact Report, Indiewire’s Women to Watch, Forbes, and many others.

Just three years out of the University of San Diego School of Law, Ramo started the Beverly Hills-based Ramo Law PC in 2005. Ramo, a first generation U.S. citizen, has spoken at panels for USC, AFI, UCLA, South by Southwest and SXSW V2V.

Ramo holds membership in Film Independent and Women in Film, and is a founder of PEFA – a professional organization for female attorneys in the entertainment industry.

Ramo was recognized yesterday at a Variety hosted event in Los Angeles.
