  • Consult with recording artists and/or band members to determine the most appropriate business entity for the artist/band and assist in the formation and organization of that entity
  • Draft and finalize the following contracts: songwriter split agreements, master ownership agreements, video ownership agreements, and artwork ownership agreements


  • Register client’s musical works with performing rights organizations including ASCAP, BMI and SESAC
  • Register client’s master recordings with Sound Exchange

Intellectual Property

  • Register client’s copyrighted works with the United States Copyright Office
  • Research client’s band name, logo, and other marks and register those marks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office

Drafting and Negotiation

  • Draft, negotiate and finalize agreements on behalf of songwriters and recording artists including band management agreements, agency agreements, touring agreements, publishing agreements, recording agreements, distribution agreements, production agreements, producer agreements, mixer agreements, video producer agreements, side-artist agreements, endorsement agreements, synchronizationn and master use licenses, composer agreements, and soundtrack album agreements

Business/Legal Affairs

For Music Publishing Companies, Record Labels, Management Companies, Booking Agencies and Music Festivals

  • Consult with Client to determine the most appropriate legal entity for the company purpose providing ongoing corporate/entity representation
  • Provide transactional representation in connection with company’s clients and events
  • Provide representation and advice in connection with employment agreements, vendor agreements, partnership agreements and other business agreements
