DeadlineRyan Guzman (Step Up All In, Boy Next Door) is set to star in dramatic actioner Hold Your Ground. Directed by Ben Nott (Drift) from a script by Michael W. Gray and Matthew Straquadin, pic is set in the worlds of Southern California surf culture, Brazilian jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts. It follows the story of an abandoned teen taken in by his long lost uncle who teaches him about life through surfing and jiu jitsu. Gray and Tim Duffy are producing. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is partnering with Anchor Bay for the movie release; it will be available in Blu-ray and DVD combo packs as well as Digital HD with Ultraviolet. Carano plays a woman whose husband disappears while they’re on their honeymoon in the Caribbean.
